Charge for observing: £12.00 per day; £9 per half day
Resident fees include all tuition, accommodation and meals. Daily lunch, coffee and afternoon tea is available for non-Residents at itemised menu prices.
Boys’ Scholarships
- The 32nd David Blair CBE Memorial Scholarship for Boys
- The Scholarship is for a boy to attend two weeks of the 2010 Yorkshire Ballet Summer School.
- Other Boys’ Scholarships available
- The Stanley and Audrey Burton scholarship is for two weeks.
- The Sir Kenneth MacMillan Scholarship given by Lady MacMillan is for two weeks.
- The Sir Peter Wright CBE DMus Scholarship (sponsored by YBS Birmingham Supporters) is for two weeks.
- The Rudolf Nureyev Scholarship is for two weeks.
- The Wayne Sleep Scholarship sponsored by The Wayne Sleep Dance Foundation is for two weeks.
- The David Gayle MBE Scholarship is for one week.
- The 26th Markova Scholarship sponsored by The Coulthurst Trust, in memory of Mrs J Coulthurst OBE is awarded to Aimee Loiuse Higgs who is currently attending the Royal Ballet Upper School.
- Dame Ninette de Valois Scholarship is awarded to Roseanna Leney.
Scholarships cover all fees for attending the Summer School. Scholarships do not include any travel costs.
Auditions
The Audition will be held at 2pm on 2 May 2010 and will take place at The Rambert School, Clifton Lodge, St Margaret’s Drive, Twickenham, Middlesex, TW1 1QN. There is no audition fee.
Boys applying must be between the ages of 10 and 18 and must have obtained their dancing teacher’s permission to attend the audition. Boys chosen will be refunded any fees paid towards the 2010 Summer School. Boys should apply in writing, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope to: The Secretary, 24 Shaftesbury Road, Richmond, Surrey TW9 2TD.
Bursaries
A limited number of Bursaries are available from Yorkshire Ballet Summer School for any student, boy or girl, unable to pay the fee for attending the Summer School. Travel costs will not be included in any Bursary.
If you would like to be considered for a Bursary, please write to The Secretary, 24 Shaftesbury Road, Richmond, Surrey TW9 2TD with a brief explanation of your circumstances. Yorkshire Ballet Summer School may ask you to provide copies of documents to support your application.
